ESTONIA DECIDE 2011

Live from Nokia Concert Hall in Tallinn, Estonia, the Estonian National Selection for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest which is called Eesti Laul. Eesti Laul 2011 is well underway with the Final for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The show opens with last years winner Malcolm Lincoln singing “Syren” which half way through goes into the performance of their brand new song.

According to eurovision.tv, ten acts will take part in this phase of the selection – 5 qualified from each semi-final. Top two – picked by a joint vote between the viewers and a professional jury – will qualify for a so-called super final. The viewers will pick the winner of that, who represents Estonia in Düsseldorf.

After the performance of Malcolm Lincoln the two blonde lady announcers take the stage and open up the show in welcoming the audience. A jury is introduced and there will be televoting of course.

Ithaka Maria – Hopa’pa-rei!
This is the starter of the evening. The group is fronted by a blonde lady singer with a great voice. The is accompanied on stage by a drummer and contrabass player and backing vocalists. Some pyrotechniques are used as well. The songs is upbeat and is not bad. Just let’s wait to see what are the other songs like. One could say that there is some influence of Lordi there as what the fire is concerned.

Rolf Roosalu – All & Now
“All and now” is gthe second song of the evening performed by Rolf with a great voice. Backing Vocalists accompanying him on stage. The song is mid tempo but taking on to a climax. HE is dressed in a dark blue pants and darker top.

Orelipoiss – Valss
Lost transmission. Just got reception back in the last few second of the song. Now the artists are being interviewed in the Green Room in English by a crazy interviewer. The song is a waltz song with typical traditional Estonian elements. The singer is huge

Already before the song the audience seems to love this entry and gives a huge applause. The leadinger lady sits on a kind of stairs podesk.
