BOB BENNY (1959, 1961) DIES AGED 84
According to Belgian Broadcaster VRT sad news is reported that Bob Benny the Belgian representative at the 1959 Eurovision Song Contest passed away aged 84 in the morning of Tuesday, 29 March 2011.
Bob Benny took part twice at the Eurovision Song Contest. In 1959 with the song “Hou toch van mii” reaching Number 6 and then two year later he once again represented Belgium with the song “September Gouden Roos” ending up jointlast in the 1961 Eurovision Song Contest with Austria’s entry.
However, his biggest success was not until 1963 when his biggest hit “Waar en Wanneer” reached Gold Status.
