BELGIUM DECIDES 2011
Welcome to the Belgian national final for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2011. Tonight the Belgian public will decide amongst four participants. The acts were decided through a series of semifinals this week. Despite not having a webcast link from Ketnet, the live review of the show begins shortly here.
The show is about to start. We are live connected with Studio7 for the Belgian National Final of the 2011 Junior Eurovision Songcontest. The 8 participants who were participating are singing their common song ‘Kei! Vet! Cool!’ Only four singers will compete a bit later on for that one ticket that gives the right to represent Belgium in Armenia.
Kristien Maes, the presenter is giving a big surprise. The theme song was sold already 16000 times and thus got the golden status! It looks like Junior Eurovision is still popular in Belgium!
The three judges are being presented. Tom Dice who got 6th place in Oslo with ‘Me and my guitar’, Eva Daeleman and well-known composer and producer Miquel Wiels. But off to the first entry!
Vince – Freedom
The first song is from Vince. A quiet rockish song which is presented not bad but somehow it misses something to be a big potential to be the winner. The singer doesnt really have the charisma too i believe to charm the audience. Eva is not convinced yet, Tom Dice is more enthousiastic and he’s a fan. Miquel thinks he looks good on camera and he believes that it could stand out on international level
Naomi – Kom en dans met mij
The second song of tonight is not too bad. The singer is accompanied by 4 female dancers and she’s nothing bad but somehow it misses something. The jury is quiet positive on it.
Alexandra – Big bang
Well this is something that i like! A nice uptempo tune, a singer who looks very good on stage and a melody that keeps in the head. The singer is accompanied by several dancers and it looks overal very good. This is my favourite till now. Tom Dice is very much surprised about the good performance and he thinks the vocals was very good. Miguel Wiels is also very positive and he thinks this will be a hit for sure! And Evy is very positive too also about the clothing of the singer.
Femke
This is the big favourite for tonight. And i really love it! It has this 50′s style. Femke looks very cute on stage and the song is so retro but somehow it gets to you. Ok maybe the vocals are not 100% but she definately has the charm!Femke is also accompanied by four female dancers dressed in very cute dresses and it looks so cute! Tom thinks she moves the best on stage, although he doubts if this is the best song! Miguel doesnt agree with Tom and thinks it could work and even Eva agrees with this so i will be surely very exciting for the results!
There is a movie now about the fun the kids had during the latest months during the selection. The televoting has ended! The ticket will be given by Jill and Lauren who represented Belgium last year in the Junior Eurovision.
The winner is to be announced…… and the winner is….. Femke! The best choice Belgium could make! We wish Belgium the best of luck in Armenia!
