ALBANIA DECIDED 2012: RONA NISHLIU TO BAKU
The 50th Festivali i Kenges declared a winner tonight and Rona Nishliu will represent Albania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Rona Nishliu will perform in Baku the song “Suus”. Congratulations to our visitors who predicted the winner in our live review poll!

Rona Nishliu is a famous albanian singer & performer superstar from Kosovo.She was born in Mitrovica (August/25/1986).When she was 13 years old she moved in Prishtina because her family was living in the north side of Mitrovica,which is a political problem of Kosovo. Officially, she began to sing in 2004. That time, she was a TV Superstar in Abania & Kosovo. She was selected on “ Ethet e së premtes mbrëma” Top 10 (means.Friday Night’s Fevers), a popular show in Albania. With her vocal rang and her performances in this show, she left a big impressions to jury and wide public.
After some time,she collaborated with two young famous ladies Teuta Kurti and Vesa Luma,to realize a song called “Flakaresha”, created by a multi-award winning artists Armend Rexhepagiqi and Aida Baraku.
This song competed in a famous festival in Albania,“ Festivali i TVSH-së “.The jury awarded the Albanian Lady Marmalade’s hit with second price,and they promised them,that the hitmakers are going to present Albania in “ Junior Eurovision Song Contest “,but this never happened.
Year by year,the powerful voice and artistic spirit of Rona Nishliu,continued to make a history,by winning a lot of important awards and creating big hit-songs.She is an award-winner of Top Fest,Kënga Magjike and Polifest.Also,she hit charts with the no.1 hits :
“Të lashë”, ”Shenja”, ”Eja”, ”Veriu”, ”A ka arsy feat.Bim Bimma” and “Shko pastro pas saj”.
Currently,her new song ”Zonja Vdekje” (means.Lady Death) which is dedicated to her Late Aunt,won “The best vocal” award in Kënga Magjike 2009. This song is her new radio-hit and is still unknown if it’s going to be a video project. Rona Nishliu,is only 23 years old,but her voice and talent proves a lot.In 2008,she cover-performed on RTK Gala Concert,Nexhmije Pagarusha’s hit “Baresha”,which is a very high note song and also in 2009’s same concert she tributed Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean”.
She usually perform soul,jazz and pop hits in different events.She is one of the albanian singers from a little group of them who used to sing Live in concerts and other appearances. Professional musicians of different generations,compare Rona with some famous artists like Aretha Franklin or Chaka Khan. Rona Nishliu is known for an unique fashion-style, which is very stylish and beautiful.
In 2010′s Summer ,Rona joins Albanian Hip-Hop Superstars DJ Blunt & Real1 to make a very perfect cover of Technotronic late 80′s hit “Pump up the Jam” but she didn’t participate in the video of this song for unknown reasons. This song is the 2nd Hip-Hop collaboration she has made since “A ka arsy” featured Bim Bimma.
