PLUMBO WITHDRAW FROM MGP 2012?

Plumbo group was in the line up for the 2012 Melodi Grand Prix, in the 3rd semifinal with the song “Old Nordmann” but kjendis.no claims that the band withdraw from the national selection due to the reactions of their joke made in the Norwegian Grammy awards (Spellemannsprisen).

During that event it was reported that they made a very bad and racist joke to Tshawe Baqwa and Yosef Wolde-Mariam who gave the band their award for Hit of The Year for their song “Møkkamann” calling them “people of mocha”.

Tshawe Baqwa and Yosef Wolde-Mariam did not react well with the joke and several artists already commented very negative the joke of Plumbo. The reactions on facebook and twitter seem to have forced the band to withdraw from MGP 2012 and it is reported that NRK will hold an emergency meeting tomorrow.

There is no confirmation of this news by NRK or the band yet.
