CROATIAN FANS PICK BEST ENTRY EVER

The Croatian Eurovision fan website, eurosong.hr, is selecting Croatia’s best ever Eurovision entry. A total of four entries are up for the vote, since they have had the most success for the country. The songs which can be voted for are: “Nostalgija” performed by Lidija Horvat and group Magazin which competed at Eurovision 1995, “Sveta Ljubav” by Maja Blagdan which competed at Eurovision 1996, “Neka mi ne svane” by Danijela Martinović which took part at Eurovision 1998 and the song “Marija Magdalena” performed by Doris Dragović at Eurovision 1999.

Croatia first entered Eurovision in 1993 as an independent country. It has participated every year since. It managed its best results in 1996 and 1999 when it came fourth. The Croatian capital Zagreb hosted Eurovision in 1990 since the group Riva won for Yugoslavia in 1989, the only communist country to do so. Croatia produced the most entries as part of Yugoslavia where Eurovision entrants were selected through the national selection show Jugovizija. You can vote for your favourite song here.
