LIVE FROM BAKU: AZERBAIJAN DECIDES 2012
Welcome to the grand final of Milli Secim Turu 2012, the show through which Azerbaijan will decide the host country representative. The show will present five participants while the Eurovision 2012 song will be selected in few weeks internally. The show begins at 18:00 CET and is available on eurovision.tv web TV. The representatives of Turkey and Malta for Eurovision 2012, Can Bonomo and Kurt Calleja, will also support the finalists. The presenters will be Husniya Maharramova, Leyla Aliyeva and Kamran Guliyev.
The show has just began with the three hosts on stage.
Please welcome on stage our five finalists : Elton Ibrahimov, Arzu Ismailova, Fagan Safarov, Orkhan Kerimli and Sabina Babayeva.
Orkhan Kerimli is the first who will sing for us tonight. He is formally dressed. In the middle of his act three female dancers dancing on stage with him.
Sabina Babayeva is now on stage and presents us some local songs. Sabina is wearing a long turquoise dress, which it has some colorful flowers on it.
After some technical problems, Elton Ibrahimov is on stage and presents us his songs. Elton is wearing a black shirt with brown pants and a light grey jacket.
Fagan Safarov is on stage right now. He is very formally dressed I think, wearing a black suit. He is accompanied on stage by a pianist. I think that his song is more for the opera.
Kamran our male host is in the Green Room and is trying to relax the five finalists.
Now please welcome the gorgeous Arzu Ismailova. She is wearing a blue long dress. I think that she is very nervous, because she is almost unexpressed and I can say that she has an indifferent dance act.
These were our five finalists.
On stage now we see two local singers who present us their songs. I think that I’m in opera with these songs tonight.
Orkhan Kerimli
He is wearing a white shirt a jean and a black jacket. He is has a very good facial expression and vocally his is perfect, but I think that sometimes he is screaming and not singing. His song is a wonderful ballad. Good choice.
Sabina Babayeva
Sabina is wearing a long white dress. Her song is a ballad too. She has an intensive dance act ( I love the way how she moves her hands). I can say that she making flawless vocals with some perfect crowns. Nevertheless I think that her hair style is old fashioned.
Elton Ibrahimov
Elton has chosen a rock ‘n roll song. He is wearing a white pants and a black shirt with white stripes. He is accompanied by five dancers. He has a dynamic dance act on stage and vocally he is perfect. I loved this act.
Fagan Safarov
He is wearing a jean with a white shirt with letters on top and a grey jacket. His song is a local rhythmic ballad. He is accompanied by two female dancers who they are not illuminated as a result we can’t see them. I think that he is very nervous and this is not helping him vocally.
Arzu Ismailova
She is has chosen a Rihanna’s song. She is on stage with four dancers. Her choreography is not helping her vocally. Although, her English pronunciation is very bad compared with the other finalists. I didn’t like her act at all.
Local singers and bands are on stage now.
Back to the Green Room again with our five finalists.
Safura (Azerbaijan 2010) is on stage and present her songs icluding the song “Drip Drop” which was her participation song in Eurovision 2010.
Orkhan Kerimli
Once again on stage. He is wearing a colorful T-Shirt and above it leather brown jacket and a pants. He is on stage with 4 dancers. This time he sings several pop dance songs. He has an intensive dance act and emits positive energy. By the way he shakes it very well.
Sabina Babayeva
The “Lady Marmalade” on stage ladies and gentlemen. She is wearing a silver leather whole-body form. On stage she is playing with her four male dancers. Vocally she is perfect once again. She is making flawless vocals and she is having a powerful dance act.
Elton Ibrahimov
He is singing the song “Popular” (Sweden 2011- Eric Saade). He is on stage with four male dancers and they are all dressed in leather. He has an intensive choreography and I think that is similar with Eric’s on Eurovision.
Fagan Safarov
He is performing the song “Grenade”.He has flawless vocals and a good dance act. Fagan is wearing a white shirt and blue pants. He is good, but not perfect.
Arzu Ismailova
Arzu is singing Adele’s song “Someone like you”. She is wearing white long dress with feathers. The vocals are mediocre. She hasn’t facial expression and this is not good for her. I think that she can make it much bettrer.
Can Bonomo is on stage and presents us his partipation on Eurovision 2012. Bonomo was born in Izmir, Turkrey, started his career by playing guitar at the age of eight. At the age of 17, he began his official career as a vocal productionist in Istanbul. At the same time Can went on with studying TV and cinema at the Instanbul Bilgy Universitywith his programmes being aired on such popular radio channels Number One FM, Radio101 and Radio Class. Then his radio programmes were followed by programmes in international TV channels such as MTV and Number One TV.
Kurt Calleja is on stage with his band. Kurt Calleja (born 5 May 1989) is a Maltese singer-songwriter. On February 4, 2012, Calleja won the Maltese national final to represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, Azerbaijan, with his entry, “This Is The Night”. Following four years of training under Brian Cefai, Kurt took a gamble and went for a year in London. While he was there he performed in Clubs like Tiger and Tiger and Host. The King’s Arms and Bada Bing where amongst other places in which he occasionally gave a performance.

The winners of the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Germany Ell & Nikki are on stage now performing their hits. Eldar & Nigar, also known as Ell & Nikki, are an Azerbaijani pop duo consisting of singers Eldar Gasimov and Nigar Jamal.
Now the three hosts welcome once again on stage our 5 finalist to report them the results.
Finally, Sabina Babayeva won the 7th Heat of Azerbaijan’s Eurovision preselection.
