LIVE FROM MINSK: BELARUS DECIDES 2012
Welcome to the Eurofest 2012 Final, the show through which Belarus will decide its representative for the Baku 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. The show will start at 20:00 CET and will be available by regional and satellite channels also on the BTRC website and through eurovision.tv web TV.
The show started on time with a dance act of Blue Bird of Happiness while the hosts came on stage introducing us the show. Then a folk act followed. The two hots, known from 2012 JESC edition are back and look marvelous on stage.
THE PARTICIPANTS
Alyona in a variety of blue colors dress gives a spectacular performance with a white dressed dancers hanging with a metallic moon in the air. Smoking props are used for this performance. Vocal is good while at the beginning Alyona was nervous for few seconds. All My Life can be the winner tonight. Nice applause by the audience.
Gunesh uses fire props on stage and a small mic fall out took place during her performance. The singer seems to be popular in Belarus. She is dressed in black outfits and accompanied by a chelo player, a long hair guitar player, a drummer and a bassist. The vocal performance is amazing although the facial expressions are very aggressive in the monitor. Big applause for Gunesh in the arena.
Viktoria Aleshko gives a very artistic performance for her ballad. She is wearing a hot red dress with a very peculiar hairstyle. Three female backing singers dressed in white, black and red dresses will fly on stage like butterflies and two male backing singers support her performance. Nice song but makes me sleep. Definitely not the winner for me. Vocal performance is quite strong and good (at least inside the arena).
Litesound get a huge welcome applause and sing their pop rock song now. Nice car race clothes and microphone props made by car elements. The backdrop looks amazing. Strong vocal performance and definitely the favourites tonight. They can actually make it this time to Eurovision Song Contest. Huge applause by the audience.
Lact competing act tonight is Uzari receiving quite a welcome. Stage prop includes a double staircase which moves and brings Uzari on the stage center. Vocally he is not bad but the song seems quite uninteresting. The singer at least enjoys his performance on stage dressed in white outfits (rock style) with red hoodies. Three female and two male backing vocalists accompany the artist on stage. Maybe too much for Eurovision.
INTERVAL ACT
We begin the interval act during which the Belarusian viewers cast their votes with all the Eurofest 2012 Finalists singing a joint song. Lys Assia is next performing her 1956 winning entry but personally I think lately she has gone too far with appearances, she needs to go home now.
Dmitry Koldun dressed in black fit outfit is performing next. Big applause for his performance of 2007 Belarusian entry in Eurovision. He also thanked Philip Kirkorov for that song. Sinplus perform their 2012 Swiss entry which I start to like somehow. Dana International sends her greetings to the Belarusian finalists and viewers and a local singer with a spectacular ballet is performing the 1998 Israeli victory entry “Diva” in Russian.
Ruslana is now on stage performing the 2004 winner entry “Wild Dances accompanied by the usual dancers dressed in black coats with red fabric inside. After a second song by Ruslan we now see Greek superstar Sakis Rouvas performing his 2009 Eurovision entry and one of his hits penned by Dimitris Kontopoulos. Simply a God!
Eurovision 2011 winners Ell & Nikki are next performing their victory entry and their brand new song. Philip Kirkorov is the last act receiving a huge welcome applause and looking gorgeous on stage. Amazing ending of the song the audience goes crazy for him.
