ELL & NIKKI ANNOUNCE ITALIAN ACT
The winners of the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest, Ell and Nikki, will appear at the final of the Sanremo Festival, to be held tomorrow evening. However, the duo won’t be performing, rather they will appear on stage to present Italy’s representative for the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku.
Shortly afterwards, a video dedicated to Eurovision and its importance for the European continent will be aired, with broadcaster RAI looking to popularise the event amongst Italians.
As part of the “big five”, Italy has already qualified for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest and will be performing on May 26. Last year Italy came second with the song “Madness of Love”, performed by Raphael Gaulazzi.
