Someone out there in TV land has decided that it would be a good idea to give Jedward a television show, as apparently they fit the Channel 5 criteria of being “young, fun and they’ve got great hair.” The Irish twins will star in a six-part home video blooper show called Weird Wild World, which will hopefully premiere later this year on Channel 5.
The X Factor duo said to Digital Spy: “We’re so excited to be hosting this new series for 5. We love going online and watching funny clips and our new series will bring together the most amazing internet clips we could find. Buckle up, it’s going to be a Jepic ride!”
Channel 5’s Commissioning Editor Ian Dunkley added: “We’re delighted to be able to give Jedward the opportunity to host their own show. They’re a perfect fit for 5 – young, fun and they’ve got great hair.”
If you can’t wait until then to get your Jedward fix, it has been confirmed that the crazy kids will represent Ireland once again in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest, and last week they premiered their new song ‘Waterline’ as a possible entry for the singing competition.
Speaking about the impending Eurovision Song Contest Jedward teased: “The UK better watch out. It’s going to be huge!
“We’re going to have an amazing song, an amazing dance team – we’re going to go out there and do a huge mega-performance.” It looks like 2012 will be another Jeward-filled year!
