Karen Viuff may not have won the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2012 but she won the preference of Azeri 2012 Eurovision winner, Nigar Jamal. One week after Dansk Melodi Grand Prix ended, the participants started invading the charts. The official album that contains all the participating entries and the disqualified songs is currently number 2 on the Album Top 40. Johnny Deluxe, the group who placed 3rd in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2009 with the song “Sindssyg (Crazy)”, splits up after a 10 years success. The members of the band say that the break up comes due to the lack of commitment and the fact that, lately, most of the band members have achieved succes as songwriters. Besides their participation in 2009, some of the group members took part in Eurovision as sonfwriters. Aalborg is ready for the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix final set for tomorrow night and already the rehearsals are underway. Photos are uploaded on the DR Facebook fan page while colleagues at eurovisionary.com posted a video from the opening act which we will all see tomorrow night. With nine acts proceeding to the final after Tine’s disqualification, Melodi Grand Prix 2012 is gearing up for the grand final on January 21. The song “Nowhere” by Tine Lynggaard that has qualified for the final of Danish Melodi Grand Prix, was under investigation again due to the fact that was published on the web prior to its participation in the Danish Final, wich is a breach of the DMGP rules. In a further development, it is now official that DR disqualified the song and announced that 9 songs will remain in the national final set for January 21.
