The first international convetion of OGAE Italy will be held at the Estragon Club in Bologna on the 28th of April. At the same time, in the same location, Nina Zilli, the Italian representative in Eurovision 2012 will hold a concert. The convention will start at 17:00 local time with a screening of the preview music videos of the 42 competing entries in Eurovision 2012, followed by an official dinner at 20:00 CET and by Nina Zilli’s concert at 22:00 CET. During a meet and greet with OGAE Italy, Nina Zilli confirmed that she and RAI decided to use the song “Per Sempre” in the Baku 2012 Eurovision Song Contest. Most likely the song will be both in Italian and English while the new Eurovision version will be given to the public in the coming days. There have been some major hiccups leading to RAI’s Sanremo Festival. Two performers risk disqualification after it was found that their songs have both been made public. “Al Posto del Mondo” by Chiara Civelli was already heard by the public two years ago, although preformed by another singer. Furthermore, a 30 second preview of the song “Respirare” by Gigi D’Alessio and Loredana Berte were put up on their Facebook page earlier, a breach of the Sanremo rules. It remains to be seen what action will be taken against them. Meanwhile, the famous Marcella Bella is fuming that she didn’t make it onto the Sanremo list of performers....
