The Greek national broadcaster, ERT, announces a nationwide contest for the composition, lyrics and performance of the song that will represent Greece in the 6th Junior Eurovision Song Contest, taking place on the 22nd November in Lemessos, Cyprus. Contestants can be between 10 and 15 years old, whereas applications can be submitted until Friday 4th July 2008, by mail or at the offices of ERT. The terms, except for the above mentioned age, include the Greek nationality or main residency in Greece. The songs must be original, written by the kids themselves, or with the assistance of an adult, who will perform them on stage. The songs must be written in Greek and last 2'30'' - 2'45''. Every performer or band can participate with one or two songs. The most popular songs presented in the National Final Contest will be chosen by a Jury determined by ERT, which will also decide the voting system and the procedure of choosing the song that will represent Greece.
