There seems to be no interest to buy tickets to the 2008 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, this is what we summarize when we go to the ticket sale website and check the availability of the venue. It is clear that the contest has come to a real end of its course and Cypriots are not interested to the event.
It is also known that besides the national broadcaster and maybe a couple of newspapers, no one really mentions the event and a lot of people are not yet aware that their country hosts this event. The question though is not if Cyprus was the best choice to host the contest, neither if the country is expensive, but it seems that Junior Eurovision has nothing to offer any more.
OK CyBC might have booked (or at least still negotiating) Dima Bilan's appearance but still there is no fan into having this event anymore. We need also to mention that the tickets are extremely high priced comparing to the previous years, especially when a broadcaster like TVR had the guts to offer the show for free!
