We will continue our daily presentations in the road to the Eurovision Song Contest to take place in Moscow, Russia. The three shows taking place in May will decide where we will head on next year.

Today we will be taking a look at Turkey whose entry "Dum Tek Tek" penned by Sinan Akçıl, Hadise Açıkgöz, Stefaan Fernande and composed by Sinan Akçıl will be sung by sexy charismatic singer Hadise. The singer who will be representing Turkey will be fighting for a spot in the final during the 1st semifinal. The song will be interpreted in the middle at slot number 9. She will be hoping to step up to the challenge of bringing the Eurovision Song Contest back to her country.

The Selection
Like in the case of France, Turkey decided on selecting their entrant Hadise internally. The singer who initially hails from Belgium but has Turkish ancestory running in her blood. TRT made their decision late last year and presented their entry during their big New Year's Eve bash organised on a television show. The broadcaster said that "Our goal is to be the next winners of the contest and we are working hard for it". Therefore one can see the sheer determination of the Turkish nation for this music festival.

The Artist
Hadise started out her career in the Flemish version of the United Kingdom's Pop Idol without even making it to the final stages. She impressed record producers though as she received several music contracts to start and develop her career. In Belgium she accepted a contract with the EMI division there while also committed to a Turkish label entitled Pasaj Müzik. Up until now the artists has released only two albums as well as eight singles out of which the most popular has to be "My Body". Her vocal skills are not the best in the world but are just right for the amount of movement which she possesses on stage.

The Song
The song which Hadise will sing entitled "Dum Tek Tek" is a very upbeat pop song which has many turkish influences in it. The singer has described the title as the beat of her heart. We can see that the song is very catchy and should be a fan favourite for the weeks to come. It is also important to note that the original version has undergone many changes to reach it's full potential so to speak. The latest released version is much more modern and should appeal to a wider audience. The question which is frequently asked is whether she can eventually put it off live. We we will see in the first semifinal in May.

We wish Hadise the best of luck in the semifinal hoping to make it to the final and continue the recent wave of good results that has hit the meditterean eastern country of Turkey.

Iyi şanslar !!
