Scooch and Nicki French, the British entries in the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and 2000, will perform at the North East England's biggest gay pride; More than 5,000 people are expected to attend the event next Saturday, July 18.
David Ducasse, member of Scooch, said to Shields Gazette: "I am really looking forward to performing in Newcastle Pride! As a group, we have performed at many clubs, festivals and prides over the years, and I am delighted to be part of my local celebration of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community".
Also joining Scooch on stage in the city's Leazes Park will be pop singer Nicki French, who represented the United Kingdom with ‘Don't play that song again’ in 2000.
