State television of Liechtenstein is ready to become a full active member of the EBU by December, local newspaper reports today. 1FLTV and its representative Mr Peter Kölbel said that the broadcaster is also seeking Eurovision Song Contest participation and he almost verified summer rumours claiming that the 2010 potential entrant will be selected through public selection method. EBU also recently said that the country is indeed interested for the contest. There are of course limited number of artists from this state but for sure German acts will be involved as well, letting us imagine where the 12 points will be exchanged this year as well.
HERE IS WHAT WAS REPORTED IN SUMMER
It looks like Liechtenstein has joined EBU and is rumored to be ready and willing to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. Local TV has announced they will do a show based on German 'Deutschland sucht den Superstar' formula and the winner will go to Oslo. Now let's see what happens when the summer rumors settle down and the time for doing it for real comes...
Another possibility is Alexander Walser-Rothschild aka Al Walser, a Grammy voting and nominating member, singer and songwriter from Liechtenstein. He is rumored to be interested in Eurovision 2010 as well. As the second family name suggests he's not sort of cash either. He's also a radio personality, ex-member of group Fun Factory and Liechtenstein's first biracial citizen.
