It is true that Elli Kokkinou is interested in ESC. It is a shame ERT isn't perusing that. Regarding Sabanis, I mentioned him earlier too, but people seem to think he sucks live. Regardless, he has some greats songs. I can't believe ERT is doing this......Like I mentioned earlier, I would have liked to see Maro Lytra since she actually wanted to go, but 27boy said ERT vetoed her. I know she has no label right now, but I am more than certain she would sign before a NF.

It's not necessary that a big name will bring a very good place.I believe too that than unknown or less known artist can make the difference and we have many sucessfull examples

why so much negative energy? Both Vissi and Rouvas failed to reach a top 5 positions despite the fact they are superstars in Greece. I can't see why a less popular artist is "cursed" to do worse.... the song is what really matters and the performance. If those two are good i am more than ok with an unknown aritst too.

Kokkina halia are very boring posers. No way.
Professional Sinnerz are ok, but hip-hop (especially in greek) isn't what ESC needs.
Katerine Avgoustakis seems nice, but she needs a great song.
Despina Ricci seems really nice and the song is very pretty, but I don't know if she is actually good live.
For me everything will depend on the song... but I really hope it won't be Kokkina halia. (χαλιά ή χάλια?)

first of all,there is no official confirmation about anything.in addition,wait to hear the songs and then judge the entries...I believe that in a national final,proffesional sinnerz are the clear favourite followed by kokkina xalia(red carpets).people don't know neither katerine nor Despina.I heard earlier that Kokkina Xalia won't enter the NF and Professional Sineerz have not yet decided(i doubt that they will agree on taking part).so,just wait !

@ 27boy Elli Kokkinou wants to go to eurovision like CRAZY!!!! ERT doesn't want to appoint her 1) because they believe that some one "young and fresh" should represent Greece. 2) ERT officials feel that there is an age discrimination that is way they are afraid that Kokkinou will fail. 3) They want to have a national selection between singers because they make more money (sms voting is much higher)
Also Despina Richi is not 1000% sure a candidate. ERT officials didnt like her and maybe they will prefer a 19 year old young singer from EMI.

I'm glad Greece makes a national final with new artists and no divas! That's a good step forward. LOL i also confused Despina Ricci with Despina Vandi lol! Katerine should represent Belgium, not Greece! No more Helena Paparizou, Sahlene, Hadise singers! For now, Despina Ricci would be my choice. She's different, alternative and would appeal the audience. But Greeks won't choose her for sure.

i think a ballad in 2010 with the new televoting and jury system (both semifinals too) is the best option. but we will see too many ballads (we already know that). also i have to point out that a group like professional sinnerz would be voted highly by finns

That seems awful dumb for someone to veto her, especially considering the other rumored artists they have chosen.... @ioannis, oh really? Have you actually seen him live? Reviews from Vissi's new show say otherwise. BTW, here he is performing the ballads "Dodeka" and "Den Exei Sidera H Kardia Mou" live. I posted my last response before the article was updated. So it looks like Katerine was picked up by Heaven??? Hmm.. Also Oikotimes, as I said in my post, Prof. Sinnerz are with Universal, not Sony.... Also this news on no budget seems strange. Don't sponsors usually pick up most of the costs? @27boy, Like I said, I posted my last response before the article was updated and before seeing your response. They are both relatively unknown in Greece, that is why I am not considering them A class.

To clarify my earlier post, This is basically the situation: We have 2 relatively unknown names in Greece (Katerine and Despina) and 2 groups that debuted just this year. (Kokkina Xalia and Prof. Sinnerz). ERT could do much better IMO. Eleos! ---------- From a label point of view, it seems Universal is pitching 2 artist? Both Katerine and Prof. Sinnerz are with Universal....(Prof. Sinnerz is with Goin' Through's "The Family Label" and Def Jam, which are part of Universal) Kokkina Halia are with Sony, and Despina is with EMI. It is also strange that Heaven Music is not represented here...
