The Dutch entry at the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, the singer Hind, is the special guest at the ‘Concert for Freedom’, to recall the Western Front of the European Theatre of World War II 65 years ago. The play is scheduled to January 8 - May 30 at the Theatre of the Orchestra of the Royal Air Force.
The organizers believe that the theme of freedom is written on Hind’s body: “She has a Moroccan father and a Dutch mother and she’s very concerned about the world around her. Hind, who sings R&B, pop and fado, is not afraid of experimenting with different musical styles in different languages such as Arabic and Portuguese”.
