While the other six provisional participants for Greece have picked their songs (most of them have already submitted them to ERT), Katerine Avgoustakis is still searching for the song which she and her team will submit for the Greek national final. According to exclusive information reaching Oikotimes.com directly from Belgium, Avgoustakis has received five songs from Belgian, Swedish, Polish and Canadian writers, whose names cannot be revealed at the moment. Another option still remains for the artist to submit a song which she has composed herself.
In the meantime, we must caution ERT a bit in regard to a new threat that might risk the entire Greek selection. Some of the songs already submitted to the broadcaster have started to leak, mostly via mobile conversations, while one of the songs has reached our phones as well. It would be wise not to ask irrelevant people for their opinion about the supposedly submitted entries, in order to avoid this threat!
Katerine Avgoustakis is preparing to leave for Athens. Her first appearance will not be at the ERT press conference (which we doubt will include all the artists, but nothing is sure yet) but on a popular TV show event. The local media seem to be overestimating Avgoustakis, as she is already considered the top favorite in the national final, while the media does not seem to understand that she is completely unknown to the Greek public. Earlier this week, denied hopeful Maro Litra claimed that the 2010 national final is more or less fixed for Avgoustakis. After the leak of the seventh name for the Greek national selection, the top favorites for Greece - besides the media favorite Avgoustakis - are the group Emigre as well as Yorgos Karadimos.
