Tonight Albania holds the third night of the national Festivali i Kenges. The tonight show include the 18 participants of the first night plus the two winners from last night's show. The songs will be performed in duets with various famous artists of Albania and in new versions. Here is the line up:
Iris Hoxha & Kelly - Zërin tim ta ndjesh
The so called duets with famous seems to be a joke. Irisi (qualified from last night show) has a duet with yesterday's non qualifier Kelly! The song is not of any interest but at least having it sang by two this time makes it just a bit less annoying. Our current estimation is that they shouldn't represent Albania in Eurovision.
Guximtar Rushani & Agim Poshka - Gëzuar
Guximtar and agim sing their duet seating on chairs, Agim plays the guitar, Agim is the composer of the song, Agim also makes good coffee. Agim is for everything! The ethnic ballad is performed once again bad and we wonder which Euroviewer will remember it if performed in Oslo.
Era Rusi & Julian Bulku - Fjalë dhe gjunjë
How sweet, the clever part of this performance is to sing into eachothers microphone. In any case the duet perform an up tempo ethnic song. The Albanian auditors seem to like it. Of course they do, they love kitsch and they showed us that during the years also in Eurovision.
Goldi Halili & Aleksander Gjoka - Tirana Brodway
With the same performance as yesterday Goldi begins her performance. She is joined by Alksander, the 1992 winner of this festival and they forming a duo in the middle of the stage. The song is of cabaret style and they bid hardly to win the spot for Oslo. It might be not of our taste but it's the least worst from what we have seen today, so far.
Erti Hizmo, Lindita Halimi & Redon Makashi - Nuk të dorezohem
Not that the song is something special but the performance is quite interesting as the vocal performance can only be described as strong. The audience truly appreciate this and gives the duo a great applause at the end of this act presentation. Judging from the applause (as the Albanian taste will never mach mine) it seems we have a favorite so far.
Mariza Ikonomi & Vedat Ademi - La la la (Vazhdoj këndoj)
Boring, boring, boring song with repetitive lyrics and a Vadet Adami who makes no difference in this already boring (I say again) song. The effort of Mariza to represent the country again as another Massiel of 1968 is a total failure. The song will proceed to the final, but if the country wants to score at least a descent number of points in the scoreboard will think about this twice.
Kejsi Tola & Voltan Prodani - Ndonjëherë
At least she represented her country in 2009 with a descent score last year despite the circus choreography she had. Kejsi gives a very confident performance. The black color seems to be the choice of all participants tonight. Not a bad choice for the country in the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest but statistically she is not going to win it easy. In any case she can gather some points in the scoreboard, definitely not a
winner!
Claudio La Regina & Franco Scaravaglione - Ave Maria
And back to craps. The one we watched few moments ago are just like that. The song lacks of any interest which can make you take it seriously and vote for it (if you dare to imagine it on a Eurovision stage). The outcome is average and surely shouldn't this represent the country in Oslo.
Erga Halilaj, Adrian Nini & Ronela Hajati - Party
The performanceis mediocre as they have no dancers tonight and the duet seems to destroy the song. Not good result.
Teuta Kurti & Malda Susuri - Mall i pashuar
A very good vocal performance but something lacks from this song to make it a success in tomorrow's final.
Dorina Garuci & Dr. Flori - Sekreti i dashurisë
Not bad but definitely not a winning entry to represent the country in Oslo. The song is not good and strong enough.
Bojken Lako, Banda Adriatica & Ajkuna - Love love love
Nice vocal performance again in a song that is too romantic and maybe oldfashioned for this festival.
Rovena Dilo & Eranda Libohova - Përtej kohës
The 1987 winner wants to get another trophy and the ticket to Oslo. The song is strong and the two ladies give a very good vocal performance.
Pirro Çako, Rosela Gjylbegu & Eliza Hoxha - Një tjetër jetë
Three good voices but the song is not a good one. The guitars replace the piano version we got to know two days ago.
Denisa Macaj & Olta Boka - Aria
The 2008 Eurovision representative and Denisa perform their ethnic ballad and their vocal performance receives a very warm applause. Too opeatic though.
Stefi & Endrri Prifti & Burn - U dogjem mrekullisht
Warm applause for this duet as well due to their strong and confident vocal performance. Once again one more favourite for the final.
Juliana Pasha & Soni Malaj - Nuk mundem pa ty
Despite the bad choice of clothes performance seems nice but it has no winning magic over it.
Anjeza Shahini & Eneida Tarifa - Në pasqyrë
The less worst song from what we have heard os far. The song is performed excellent and it is a strong favoirite to win this year.
Kamela Islami & Kristi Popa - Gjëra të thjeshta
Choir with 9 children, something that due to EBU rules we will not be able to see in Oslo if this song (God forbidds) wins tomorrow night. Not interested in such songs and trust me it will appeal no one.
Flaka Krelani & Jonida Maliqi - Lë të bëhet çfare te doje
Ethnic rock song with a somehow good vocal performance. Hmm weird feelings here, you can love it and you can hate it.
So folks after many efforts with my internet connection I managed to end this report once again delayed. The Holiday parties are keep going on here and I managed to combine both. Give us your comments over this night's show and don't forget to read the final review tomorrow night where you will be able to vote as every year in the national final reviews.
